We have been so lucky to visit Tuscany for two different weddings: one in September 2021 and one in September 2023. While the focus of each trip was each wedding, we rented a car and made an effort to visit a few other spots as well.
Food & Wine
Conti Di San Bonifacio: In 2021, we had a delicious lunch here with a big group of friends. The views of the vineyards are absolutely incredible!

Bar Trattoria Il Corso: Cody was a groomsmen for the 2021 wedding. While he was getting ready with the groom on the wedding day, Melanie, Jessie, and Aaron went here for lunch. Two years later, Melanie still dreams of the fresh homemade pasta and house wine from this hole-in-the-wall spot.

Montepulciano: When driving from Rome to the 2023 wedding location, we stopped in Montepulciano. We had lunch at Caffè Poliziano and popped into Eredi Biagianti to check out their high-quality table linens. Supposedly Maledetti Toscani has incredible leather and La Favola Di Orfeo Snc has beautiful olive wood products, but we didn’t end up having time to go to either of those spots.

Il Borro Relais & Châteaux: This was the location of the 2023 wedding and it is absolutely beautiful! The property is breathtaking and there are endless activity options: horseback riding, cooking class, vineyard tours, golf, tennis…etc.

Prada Outlet: Italy is known for its luxury fashion and high-quality leather and a lot of the luxury fashion products are made in Tuscany. The Prada Outlet is next to the factory where all of the Prada products are made and it is fun to visit!
Next Time
The next time we visit Tuscany (i.e. not to attend a wedding), we plan to spend more time driving through and exploring the countryside. Some spots that have been recommended to us are: Castiglion del Bosco Winery, L’Andana, Lupaia, Borgo Santo Pietro, and Rocca Di Montemassi.
