Our one-way flight is officially booked! On August 21 we will be flying to Rio de Janeiro! We spoke with some friends who have travelled there before, and they mentioned that it takes a while for our visas to be approved. We plan on heading to the Brazilian Consulate in Midtown in the next few days. We have also applied to a few volunteering opportunities in South America through IVHQ. We still need to finalize our schedule to determine which volunteering opportunity makes the most sense.
